00:24Usually, the string thats tuned highest

With very few exceptions, the first string is the string at the treble edge of the fingerboard. Its the string thats tuned the highest, the first your hand encounters as you reach around the neck:

It is NOT the first one you see as you look down at the instrument.

So lowest in physical position as you play, but highest in pitch.
