Break Angle  noun \ˈbrāk ˈaŋ-gəl\  Change text size for readability...  Print This Page
00:20On a stringed instrument, the angle of a string as it passes over a bridge, saddle, or nut is referred to as the Break Angle."

Generally, a high, good or "strong" break angle over a nut or saddle is desirable because it ensures that the string will make a tight contact for transmission of vibrating energy and tone.
